Pratap Sarnaik is very particular about keeping Thane City clean and healthy. In ward no. 32 there are many housing complexes such as Runwal Plaza, Vedant Complex, Asiatic Conclave, Wimbledon Park, Tarangan Housing Complex, Vihang Garden,etc. in addition to housing societies in Samta Nagar. So much so in this ward there are also areas like Ramchandra Nagar, Lokmanya Nagar-Pada No. 1 and Vijay Nagar.

The population of all the housing complexes and areas combined together is very high. Daily lot of waste and garbage gets created in the households of the ward.

Earlier the garbage bins were kept at certain places in the ward. Garbage collected from various complexes and dwelling houses was dumped in to the garbage bins. Within a day or so these garbage bins used to get overflow. Garbage spread on the road and stinking smell of the rotten garbage was the common thing in the vicinity. As a result of it, it was very difficult for the public to use such roads. Especially situation was worst during rainy season.

Pratap Sarnaik realized that if such a condition is allowed to remain then it could create a major health hazard for the people. Out of this concern for the public health he made a provision of Ringing Vehicles (Ghanta Gaadi) to collect and lift the garbage daily.

Now the Ringing Vehicle visits different areas and housing complexes in the vicinity regularly. Due to it one can hardly find the leaps of garbage.

Pratap Sarnaik has a particuar attraction for cleanliness, sound health and the aesthetic value of Thane City. That is why he always takes different steps in order to keep Thane City clean, beautiful and keep away it from various diseases.
